In every fun and great birthday party you should always try to gives toasts, very much like giving out anniversary poems during anniversaries. Whenever you throw a party for someone then its your responsibility to make sure that you welcome everyone.. You can also publically introduce yourself and everyone and this is also an opportunity for you to show your presence to other people. When people will see you in such role, they?ll be impressed.

You can also ask to explain the link/relation between him/her the person whose birthday you are celebrating. This way you can avoid embarrassing situations in introducing people.

Also remember to practice not just once but for dozens of times. You should not let anyone know that you have practiced many times because this way the interest will be lost. Remember that it is very important that you do well in the toast because people are going to remember it for years to come. You can also keep a page with you so that when situation is real worse you can read and remember what you have to say.

You need to be prepared for every situation and you can also ask someone else for sometime if your toast is real big.. You must be confident and your toast should look effortless as people will enjoy more. Also, remember to add many real life situations as possible. This would make people happy and you in the end you can also ask the special guests and birthday person for few minutes.

Just like with any anniversary poems, you must remove the portions in which you are not comfortable and only speak what you know and can speak comfortably. You should never make of mockery of anyone.

The wedding toasts are a short speech that is about five minute. There are three important wedding toasts on the wedding reception. That is the toasts of the father of the bride, groom of the bride, and the best man of the wedding. Although a wedding can have more wedding toasts, these are the three most important wedding toasts.

The father of the bride is traditionally the main toastmaster of the wedding reception. The father of the bride asks for toasts to the bride and groom at first. Then, he usually gives a warm thanks to the father of the groom, groom of the bride, relatives of the bride, relatives of the groom, friends of the bride, friends of the groom, and special guests of the wedding. Finally, he gives a special welcome to everyone who comes to the wedding.

Now, the groom of the bride responds to the toasts of the father. The grooms usually ask for toasts for the parents of the bride, bride of the wedding, and his parents. He may also thanks who took part in the wedding. This requires a little research and observation. For example, the best man picks up the tuxedoes of the groomsmen, the groomsmen decorates the limousine, and the bridesmaids usher on the wedding.

The best man toasts for the lovely bride and groom of course. This is the most stressful wedding roles to him. He usually knows the groom very well. This wedding toast is highly emotional which may bring tons of laughter and tears. He also speaks on behalf of the bridesmaids.

The wish of good health and happiness to the bride and groom is always a good idea. Actually, it is a very good closing of the wedding speech. Now, the wedding guests are in the mood for toasts. For example, a wish to change from for better or worse to for better, happiness, and good health.

Although alcohol can relieve stress and nervousness, the alcohol deprives the body to perform well with high consumption of alcohol. To perform at best, you may want to defer until you finish the wedding toasts.

By adding past experience, you are personalizing the wedding toasts. This shows how much you know about the groom, bride, or someone. For example, you remember what advice that you gave to win the heart of the bride. For any highly embarrassing moment for the groom or bride, you may want to save the story some other time. This is their special moment. And, the embarrassing stories might ruin the mood on the wedding.

To lighten up the wedding toasts, you may add a few jokes and humor. Not all jokes are funny. Jokes are all about timing. There are clubs, and restaurant that offers stand up comic. Watching the professional stand up comic at work, you can learn about timing and delivery. If you are brave enough, you can also try the jokes to friends, and relatives. The jokes also must relate to the background and origin of the audience. When you get a few laughs, you know that it is a hit on wedding toasts.

Sometimes, the some guests may not be able to make to the wedding and reception. For example, the guest got in an accident. Another, the guest is out of town. Or, the guest is ill or sick. It is good to mention the guest who could not make to the wedding and reception for sympathy.

What would a wedding reception be without the traditional wedding toast? It’s like having a wedding cake without the icing. The wedding toast is a profoundly moving gesture, as it conveys to the bride and groom the heartfelt wishes of everyone who attended the wedding.

Sequence of the Toasts

The wedding toast is usually given first by the best man, then the father, the groom and the bride, and then followed by those who would like to give a toast. Versions may vary, however.

Other traditional sequences of wedding toasts also follow the best man as the first one to give the toast, followed by the groom who says a few words to his bride, parents, family, and members of the wedding party. After which, the groom is then followed by other people such as family members or friends who also want to give a toast, and then lastly, the father of the bride who thanks everyone for attending the wedding.

On the other hand, a nontraditional manner of the sequence of wedding toasts starts off with the emcee toasting the bride and groom. This is followed by the groom saying a few words to the guests and his bride, followed by the bride giving a little speech to her parents and in-laws, and finally, the father of the bride thanking everyone who shared this special day with them.

The Actual Toast

Ever since a monk named Dom Perignon invented champagne, it has since become the number one drink during wedding toasts. So before performing the wedding toast, make sure that your own glass as well as the glasses of other people (most especially the bride and groom’s) are also filled with drink.

Stand next to the bride and groom when giving your toast, and using a spoon, tap your own glass in order to get people’s attention. Raise your glass using your right hand held straight from your shoulder, and then you can begin the wedding toast.

    Preparing the Speech: Practice!

Giving a wedding toast, albeit a short one, in front of so many people can be quite a nerve-wracking experience. However, it doesn’t really have to be, not as long as you come prepared. Write your speech down so you would know exactly what to say. Let it come straight from your heart, so that you would be able to convey the sentiments you want to impart to the couple you are toasting. You can also try showing it to someone for comment so that you can get feedback in improving on your speech. Remember to keep on practicing until you feel confident and comfortable enough to deliver it in front of a crowd.

K.I.S.S.

Keep your wedding toast brief and straight to the point, since you wouldn’t want to divert attention away from the happy couple. Nobody wants to listen to an extremely long speech, so remember this word—K.I.S.S. (Keep It Short and Simple). A good measurement of a wedding toast is around 3 minutes.

Giving the Speech

In giving the wedding toast, speak loudly and clearly especially if you don’t have a microphone, so that people would understand what you’re going to say. Talking loudly gives you a certain presence, and now that you have the audience’s undivided attention, it’s important to hold it by not mumbling your words. So remember to talk slowly, because this is not a race to get you to finish your speech as fast as you can. Remember, people actually want to hear what you have to say.

Make Eye Contact & Smile!

Having your speech or cue cards printed out is indeed a great help in giving a wedding toast, but remember not to read it straight out from beginning to end. Make eye contact with the audience, so that they would feel that you really are speaking to them. Oh yeah, and don’t forget the most important detail of all: Smile! This is a joyous event, and your smile should actually say so!

Shy speakers often are selected to give speeches or toasts at weddings, and this can be a nightmare for them, though they don’t want to tell the bride and groom. Being selected as a best man or giving your daughter away at her wedding is a huge honor, so you try to suck up your shyness and learn how quiet man wedding toasts can be given that won’t make you feel as uncomfortable as you might at the idea of getting up in front of a crowd. Not to worry, a quiet man can deliver a great speech whether he is the best man, the father of the bride, or a quiet friend of the family that would just like to say something to the new couple!

Thankfully, a quiet best man speech or father of the bride speech will likely go unnoticed by all of those in attendance if you plan ahead. It’s likely that no one will require that you make a very long speech, so work on congratulating the new couple. If you are the father of the bride simply explain that you are happy to welcome the groom into the family and you know that he will fit in well. If you are quiet but have a great sense of humor, think about adding some humor into the mix. Humor may help you break out of your shy self and enjoy the moment as well as make everyone laugh so that they may not notice how shy or nervous you may be!

Shy speakers often have a difficult time getting up after that alpha male that seems to be able to do anything in public without thinking twice, so if you go first you won’t have time to get even more nervous. This will also help if you have your speech memorized and you don’t want to run the risk of forgetting what you want to say as well as repeating what others may have said.

If you’re going to give a quiet man speech, wedding receptions are the place to start. If you are nervous, you don’t need to be. By the time everyone gets around to giving speeches many simply aren’t paying attention because they are enjoying great food and drinks. Perhaps giving this speech will get you over your fear of public speaking, or at least you will prove to yourself that you can give speeches and be a pleasantly quiet man! Though it seems like a contradiction, quiet men often give the best speeches because they put a lot of thought into what they have to say.

Whether you are a shy speaker or a somewhat quiet man, you can give a great speech or toast at a wedding. Remember that there is no real length of time that you need to spend speaking in front of the crowd, so you can keep things short and sweet. The key is to think about what you want to say ahead of time so that you can deliver a speech or a toast that will be sincere and will allow people to look past the fact that you typically are a quiet man! When you are planning your speech think about both the bride and the groom and what will make both of them laugh, smile, or appreciate what you have to say.

Wedding toasting glasses can be wonderful keepsakes of a from your very special occasion. Providing champagne and wine is a customary tradition for any toast. Oddly, we never see alternative non-alcoholic beverages, such as: sparkling ciders, punch, and sparkling water.

There are several important moments during your wedding celebration to announce and participate in a wedding toast. Generally, this is the usual order in which toasts are made:

The Best Man
The Groom To His Wife
Father of the Bride
Father of the Groom

Traditions vary throughout different cultures. Some wedding toasts are prepared as lengthy monologues, some are followed by the breaking of glassware. If you’re expect to toast at a wedding which is sultural in nature, discuss details with the bride or groom in advance.

The bride and groom will be expected to do a lot of drinking upon each wedding toast announcement. It’s important to make sure that their glasses are always filled. If you’re the best man of the wedding party, you may wish to pick up a book on wedding toast etiquette. It’s always nice to state how long you have known and loved the couple. Your toast does not have to be very long , but it should express warmth from your heart

Your toast is meant to convey a message of hope. It’s a kind of send-off. You’re encouraging the bride and group to start their lives together as one. You can use your toast to tell a story, or bring the guests on a trip down memory lane. Most importantly, though, this is your opportunity to welcome the bride. A new beginning which will offer plenty of sweet memories and stories down the road.

When will you make your toast? Traditionally, the toasts occurs after the main dinner course is served and eaten. Drinks are usually served and toasting will be announced. Before you begin t speak, make sure you have a glass to toast with.

It’s important that you practice your speech several times at home before you make your toast. There’s nothing worse than getting up in front of all those people — with nothing to say! Write it out and say it aloud. At the end of your toast you should always life your glass and close with a congratulations, for instance:

“To my valued friend ________and his beautiful wife_______ , we all wish you the most wonderful lives together!”

NEVER mention any of these things in a Wedding toast:

Do not use foul language, as it may offend some of the guests (especially those with children)
Do not get intoxicated and slur through your speech
Do not bring up ex-spouses/former lovers
Do not discuss any unethical things you may have done in the past
Do not say “I can’t believe you guys made it.”
Do not intentionally embarrass the bride or groom. It’s their special day.
