David Letterman got married to Regina Lasko in a courthouse wedding ceremony.

Letterman told fans the truck he, his wife and their five-year-old chose to get them to the wedding destination got stuck in the mud en route to the courthouse. He explained he had to leave his stranded family with the vehicle and return to their house to pick up a car. He joked that he feared he would be late for his own wedding. He told the audience,

“We think, ‘Well, somebody’ll come… Nobody comes along. It’s Thursday afternoon, who’s coming along? Zorro? “So I get out of the truck and I walk two miles back to the house… and the whole way, I’m thinking, ‘See, smart ass, see, see, you try to get married, this is what happens.’”
